Cardiology Services

Mid-South Heart Center Cardiology Services

Cardiology services focus on the diagnosis and treatment of the cardiovascular system
which includes heart, arteries, and veins. Your Cardiologist may order specialized testing to
determine which treatment options are best for you.

Consultative Services

Our cardiologists work with patients who may need heart-related care. Other doctors may consult with them with questions about heart disease or other conditions. Your primary care physician may refer you to one of our cardiologists if you have symptoms of heart problems.

Diagnostic Screening

In order for patients to make informed decisions regarding diagnostic and screening options when:

  • There is more than one option
  • No option has a clear advantage
  • Risk-benefit profile may be valued differently.

Interventional Treatment

Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases. Interventional cardiology helps avoid surgery with treatments like angioplasty and valve repair or replacement. Many technologies used today advance your care options.

Peripheral Vascular

Peripheral vascular disease, also called PVD, refers to any disease or disorder of the circulatory system outside of the brain and heart. The term can include any disorder that affects any blood vessels. It is, though, often used as a synonym for peripheral artery disease.

In-Clinic Peripheral Lab

A peripheral lab is a non-invasive test using an ultrasound to measure blood flow through the veins and arteries. Mid-South Heart Center operates an in-clinic peripheral lab so you can get testing and results all in one place.
